SupportA goal of the Alaska Center for Resource Families is to provide support to pre and post adoptive and guardian families which will help to strengthen their families, and decrease disruptions in adoptive families. We Realize that adoption and guardianships can be very complex and sometimes children have very special needs. Sometimes a caregiver needs support merely by one or two isolated incidents of "debriefing" (or venting) and just needs a neutral person to actively listen. Other times families need more support and our staff can provide family assessments, information, crisis intervention, home visiting, referrals, and limited case management. If you have a simple question about adoption or guardianship issues, foster care, the child protective system in Alaska or just need to vent, please call on of our offices today!
