ABOUT THIS COURSE: This course was written by Kevin Scheel, MS, MAC, LADC, for fosterparentnet.org and offers an in-depth look at each of the major drugs of abuse that are commonly used by kids today. The course explores the effects and outcomes, as well as what to look for if you suspect your child is using drugs. The course also provides an extensive list of resources on where to go for information or help.
In this course, you will ,
- Gain the insight and understanding to the major types of drugs being used and abuse by kids today
- Learn what to look for and how to take positive action if you suspect a problem
- Obtain the information and resources needed stay current with issues and needs in this area
1. REGISTER WITH FOSTERPARENTNET.ORG.
Go to fosterparentnet.org and register. There is no fee for this course, but you will need to register with just your name or nickname.
2. SELECT COURSE.
Select the course "Drugs of Abuse: What Every Parent Needs to Know" and begin. Read through course and complete all the activities.
3.COMPLETE QUESTIONNAIRE.
At the end of the five units, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire to evaluate the course. If you pass, you will be given the option to print off a Certificate of Completion with your name on it..
3. PRINT OFF CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION.
Print off Certificate of Completion that shows you successfully completed this course.
4. SEND CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION TO ACRF.
