1. This course should take between 1.0 to 2.0 hours to complete. If you need to take a break between sessions, bookmark your page so you will be able to return directly to that page instead of starting the course over. The Bookmark function is located in the menu of your browser at the top of the page. Important links are also listed in the lefthand margin of every page.
2. Printing out the Lessons: A web based course offers interactivity and involvement in learning. However, some people find it easier to print out each lesson and read it on paper. Look in the menu in the column on the left hand side of the page and click PRINT THIS COURSE to print a copy of the course. However, some important links are printed at the top of the print out and the final questionnaire needs to be taken online.
3. For Alaskan resource families only: if you wish to earn 2.0 Training Hours Credit for completing this course, complete the "Check Your Understanding" Questionnaire at the end of the course and click Submit. Each parent can complete the course for credit, but individuals can receive credit toward training requirements just once for completing this course.
4. Everyone is welcomed to read through this material, and complete the course, but due to contract restrictions, only Alaskan resource families will receive confirmation of training hour credit for successfuly completing the course and completing the questionnaire.
