A Younth Suicide Prevention Seminar for Parents and Communities

A Youth Suicide Prevention Seminar for Parents and Communities

This seminar was developed by The Jason Foundation, Inc. specifically for parents and other adults. It is appropriate for parents of all aged children but is especially relevant for parents of pre-teens, teens, and college aged youth. Although the materials included would not be harmful if viewed by a young person, the program is specifically designed for use with adults. It is our goal to educate adults, especially parents, within the community about the danger of youth suicide.     Included is a father’s perspective and general overview of suicide, signs of concern and elevated risk factors for suicidal ideation.  Handouts and resources will be included.
