This training, presented by Rebecca Bitzer of North Star Behavioral Health, is based on the ACE study, conducted by Dr. Vincent Felitti & Dr. Rob Anda, which demonstrates how adversity early in life increases physical, mental and behavioral problems later in life. Topics covered include neuroscience, brain development and the effects of toxic stress, ACE study data and implications, and the use of individual and community capacity building as an impetus for change. Cosponsored by North Star Behavioral Health and Central Council Tlingit and Haida Tribal Family & Youth Services.
