9:00-11:30 a.m. Trauma 101: General overview of trauma developed by the National Traumatic Stress Network presented by ACRF staff.
11:30-12:00 Networking Lunch (provided for pre-registrants)
12:00-2:00 p.m. Historical Trauma and the Indian Child Welfare Act: Penny Westing from Chickaloon Traditional Village Council.
2:15-3:30 p.m. Panel of Tribal Representatives: Gwen Emel- Cook Inlet Tribal Council, Geraldine Nicholi- Knik Tribal Council, and Penny Westing - Chickaloon Traditional Village Council.
3:30-4:00 p.m. Cultural Closing Activity: Featuring Paul Pike from Qalipu Mi'kmaq First Nation, Newfoundland Canada.
Held at the North Bowl Conference Room on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway

About this series: This workshop series is intended for resource families (including foster, relative and adoptive families) as well as agency and tribal staff, and the general community. There is no charge for this event and lunch will be provided for pre-registrants. Resource parents can receive up to 7 hours of training for participation in each workshop.
