Today will be for “more advanced practioners” which probably includes foster parents with considerable experience with traumatized children.  “Trauma Informed Care” is the term being used to describe a way of approaching our work with children who have experienced early childhood trauma – a way that recognizes that behaviors of traumatized children are tied to the trauma they experienced early in their lives, and that the key to changing those behaviors is to address the trauma.
