The KWYA process is a 3-part process that must be completed in the following order:
1. Watch the 20 minute KWYA video.
2. Complete the web-based e-learning. It will take 4-8 hours to complete and is strongly recommended.
3. Attend the two-day training.

When youth grow up in foster care and are raised apart from their birth families, they often lose connections to their heritage and traditions.  KWYA gives participants the tools they need to help all youth develop and maintain a healthy racial and ethnic identity, regardless of the youth’s race or ethnicity.
