Developed by Dr. Karen Purvis and Dr. David Cross at the TCU Institute of Child Development, Trust-Based Relational Interventions (TBRI) is an award-winning intervention model for a wide range of childhood behavioral problems. TBRI is based on a solid foundation of neuropsychological theory and research, tempered by humanitarian principles.
The TBRI Empowering Principles are designed to facilitate change in children by supporting their physical needs and teaching them self-regulation skills. Self –regulation skills, managing behavior and emotions, are important for children’s success in the classroom, with peers and in interaction with adults.
