TOPIC: History of ICWA and The Relationship between Tribes and the Federal Government
This telephonic event is designed specifically for foster and pre-adoptive parents across Alaska to learn about ICWA (the Indian Child Welfare Act) and to have a chance to get your questions answered. April Stahl is the OCS ICWA Coordinator in the Anchorage Region and Danielle Holt is a GAL in Anchorage. Each session will start with a brief discussion of a specific topic related to ICWA and then be opened up for questions or concerns about what ICWA means and does in Alaska. Foster and pre-adoptive parents are encouraged to call in and participate.
